Dr. Cassandra Miller-Washington, Director

Career, Technical & Agricultural Education

In 1999, Dr. Cassandra Miller Washington began her K-12 educational journey in the Bibb County Public School System. Because of her tenacity and diligence, she has held the following positions:

Technology Director for Edison Schools, Career, Technical, and Agriculture Education (CTAE) Instructor (Northeast and Central) and CTAE Instructional Coach. She was appointed CTAE Supervisor for Central, Southwest, Westside, and Howard in 2009 and CTAE Director in December 2012.

During her career of Technology Director for Edison Schools, Dr. Cassandra Miller- Washington was named Technology Start -Up Director of the Year. Additionally, during her teaching career, she was named Teacher of the Year for Northeast Health Science Magnet High School, Georgia TAPP Ambassador by Georgia Professional Standards Commission and a graduate of the Bibb County Teacher and Administrator Leadership Academy. Also, she received numerous Golden Apple Awards from Central High School Honor Graduates. The Golden Apple Award is given to teachers who have made significant contributions to the achievement of those students. Recently, she was named the 2014 Georgia Career Technical Agriculture Director of the Year.

Dr. Cassandra Miller-Washington received her Bachelor of Science from Tuskegee University and her MBA from Mercer University before eventually receiving the Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Capella University.
